Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Feb 06, 2013 10:01 am How much would you consider to be a reasonable price for 2 staircases, each only 3 steps? We have quotes for open timber steps on steel stringers and spines. We are in Perth. 1) $7,705.00 plus GST 2) $4,240 plus GST 3) $4,125 plus GST Thank you Re: Cost of staircase 2Feb 06, 2013 10:22 am Gosh not sure, but the staircase we put in our house which had 16 steps cost us $25k. Our steps when they are finished will have wooden treads with steel stringers and spine, with steel balustrade topped with wood handrail and stainless steel cable. So I guess provided they are the finished product they all seem reasonable. Seems like alot of money for so little, doesn't it?
