Looking at buying an old run down beater of a house to renovate and wondering what sort of inspections I should get prior. I know the structure is shifty...thats why im buying it lol. But more interested in what exactly is possible with the home. Been thinking about getting a feasability report done has anyone had this and what exactly do you get back. Obviously with building and pest you get photos and problems but I am after solutions. You should get a draughtsman in who is familiar with your local council and knows all their rules as to what you could do with the place. They should also be able to give you an estimate of what this will cost to a) draw the plans up b) submit it to the council for a DA c) any other fees like surveyor ,structural engineer etc d) how much to build it.
