The tiles are an attractive option as they look so great- shine! I guess a very different look to timber. What floating floors are you using? I would like to know what product has a 20 year guarantee and the price. Are you renovating an apartment.? or building a house? Re: Floating floors or Tiles: Which is cheaper? 4Oct 17, 2012 6:02 am The are several types of floating floors. The cheaper ones are basicly a imitation timber laminated coating on a craftwood type base ($20-$40 per square meter). These are more hard wearing than timber but timber looks so much better (Timber $60-$100 per square meter). If I were to do it again, I would get a nice reflective tile. To put anything over slate you will need to put self level compound over the entire area as slate various in thickness and is very un even. But I'm not sure… 3 6163 Thanks, that's the motivation I needed to give it a try sooner rather than one day! 4 3014 |
