Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Sep 24, 2012 12:33 pm Hi All, Looking at doing a major reno. Our current ceiling height is 2400 and we want to go to 2700, New roof trusses will be going on. Looking at using 8ft internal doors so new window head height will need to be 2400 We would like to keep the existing brick front of the house and frames, question is are we able to extend the height of the existing frames to make up the extra height or do they need to be redone. Thanks, Andnic. Good to move away from steel anyway for all your reasons, but it's also thermally poor. 16 17858 If this is a custom build then I would expect the builder to set out the door frame closer to the wall to avoid the gap between architrave and the wall and or specify… 9 8306 |
