My partner and I just bought our first apartment and we are hoping to remove the wall between the kitchen and living area. Other apartments in the building have done the same (they all have a similar layout) and our apartment is on the top floor. I understand that to remove a wall you need a structural engineer to inspect it to test if it is load bearing - if anyone has a recommendation that would be greatly appreciated! We are in the Eastern Suburbs, Sydney. Also, would love to hear any other tips or experiences with removing walls in apartments.
