Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Jun 04, 2012 10:45 am I need some assistance with co our matching please. We have: Gutters and window frames- woodland grey Fascia - shale grey Tiled roof - charcoal Front dood - wood stained dark brown Thinking of dulux light leather render. I was looking at toffee fingers however I think this is a little pinky in tone. We also are putting up a car port so also need to consider this. Does anyone have any suggestions. Of course I have to pick a render co our today. Thanks!! Re: Help!! Exterior render colour 2Jun 04, 2012 11:37 am Russian toffee is my favourite neutral, but not sure what undertones it has....? The paint store will be able to tell you what's in the mix. IMO it looks great with shale grey. This pic of the russian toffee is from a US website. It is darker than Hog Bristle but similar sandstone type colour. Since Woodland grey has greenish undertone, maybe that is why the other is throwing a bit pink against it? Exterior render colour 3Jun 04, 2012 12:07 pm There are lots of things to consider, such as will the entire house be rendered, or is it just a front projection, balcony or top story? Is there any brickwork to consider and if so what colour bricks have you used? Is the house a double story or single and what kind of look are you wanting to achieve, modern, traditional etc? Maybe even post a picture of your facade which would help others visualise a colour scheme. Re: Help!! Exterior render colour 4Jun 04, 2012 12:44 pm Thank you for your responses. I do like the Russian toffee, however we had a sample of dulux stone which is similar and it looked a little washed out. The house is a fully renovated single story home. We are selling it in 3 months as we are building another house to live in. We are going to render the whole place. I'll try and load a picture as we have a beautiful deck out the back Re: Help!! Exterior render colour 5Jun 08, 2012 11:04 pm Hi, have you settled on a colour yet? (I read somewhere that russian toffee can be mixed as 150 or 200% to darken it. But unfortunately I can't find the reference.) Do you still want a warm stone/grey colour? Re: Help!! Exterior render colour 6Jun 12, 2012 6:16 pm Hi there, the render is complete....we went with 'light leather' and I think it looks great. Love to post a picture but I haven't been able to master uploading them, any assistance would be great. Would love your opinion! thanks, Linda Re: Help!! Exterior render colour 7Jun 12, 2012 7:32 pm Hi, first you need to join an exterior site like photobucket or imageshack. Then upload the pics. Once you've done that, select the image you want to display, the site supplies codes for forums, emails, websites...whatever. Copy the forum IMG only, not the URL, and eh voila! you will see your pic displayed. Make sure both ends of the code have the IMG in it (like a bracket). Have a play, use preview to practise.
