We have a lot of books: for size, think multiple sets of encyclopaedias.
So standard bookcase shelves would bow or break very quickly. We need something sturdy, but within a fixed budget.
What do you suggest for our library?
Some ideas which people have mentioned have been:
- built-in bookcases using thick wooden shelves
- built-in bookcases using university library-like metal shelving
- normal wooden bookcases, bolted to the wall
Do you have any other suggestions?
Does anyone know of any pros and cons of these and their relative costs?
Thanks for your help.
