Water seems to be seeping through bottom sheet. Silicone or flashing? What’s best to use to stop leaking? Which silicone or flashing to use? Appreciate any help. Re: Flat roof verandah leaking where polycarbonate overlaps 2Apr 25, 2012 6:57 pm this shouldn't happen if the sheets are over lapping. Water should not be able to go up. This could indicate that there is minimal over lapping or a crack some where. Re: Flat roof verandah leaking where polycarbonate overlaps 7Apr 25, 2012 9:05 pm If it is only wicking up the sheet at the bottom then depending on your profile you may be able to install the rubber sealing strips at the end of the sheets, I have seen them at bunnings with the colorbond. I think the idea is basically you remove the last row of screws and place the foam rubber between the sheet and the timber and re fasten 2 Re: Flat roof verandah leaking where polycarbonate overlaps 8Apr 25, 2012 9:19 pm I'm guessing you are referring to foam infill strips. I'll check this out at bunnings. Hope its not too high or else the top sheet fall will become almost flat. Thanks for this suggestion. Re: Flat roof verandah leaking where polycarbonate overlaps 9Apr 26, 2012 2:42 pm Had this problem once before with a roof such as yours, thats far too flat, and less than the minimum required fall. All I could do is open up the end lap, dry it out and load it up with a wide bead of silicone then re-fix. I think if you try to insert a foam strip it may prove too much resistence and crack the PC sheet when re-fixing.
