Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Apr 24, 2012 10:29 pm Hello Everyone,
Could I ask for feedback / suggestions to the plans below. We are about to commit to staring with them and I wanted some feedback suggestions. The home is a 1930's Tudor with a 1990's extension to the rear of the original home which we plan to demolish and then build the proposed plan with a second storey to the rear of the home. The Home faces North West and we need lots of glass at the rear to allow for natural light. We also like to keep the pool close and in view of every angle inside as we have 2 young children. All advice / artistic design appreciated. INCLUDING a totally new concept to our ideas if you like Original Plan - as it is today .... http://users.adam.com.au/carmania/Aberf ... iginal.JPG New Master Plan - Our Dream Home! http://users.adam.com.au/carmania/New%20Plans.JPG Thanking you all in advance, Andrew Re: Major Extension - Please help! Or I'm very clever. . . actually, it was easy. . . first I copied your original piccies into Paint, trimmed the edges off, saved them to photobucket, copy the link to the photobucket pic in your post, highlight is and click on the "Img" button. There's a thread on it somewhere. . . here it is: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1272&hilit=how+to+post+photo Re: Home Extension - Looking for design ideas. 6Jun 17, 2012 6:16 pm hey, hows the process going? Probably a bit late now, but my only feedback, is that the kitchen looks quite small, compared to the rest of the house. And I would consider nocking a door from the kitchen direct into the dining room, so you have direct access. But looks great, other than that. We are in the process of getting council approval but any mild modification like you suggestion can still be done. Thanks! regards Andrew I would say both styles you have pictured are steel. The lower chord of the first pic would be a massive lump if made using timber considering the size of the rafters.
