Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Mar 31, 2012 11:51 am Hi All, We're extending a 1930's brick/iron/veranda house. The extension comprises a new kitchen/dining and livening area as well as extra bedrooms etc. In the living area we are considering having floor to ceiling stacking glass doors. Theise will be quite big as the ceiling height in this area is 3.3m to match the existing house. I like the idea of having blocked in eaves on the outside about a meter wide, so that it seems like an extension of the ceiling from the inside. I would love to hear from anyone with thoughts on this. How hard is it to achieve? My designer is resisting this as the roof line right now i n my plans comes down the wall as the eaves extend out. Below is the plan, but I could upload the elevations as well if necessary. Thanks, Rebecca Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Hi there! Absolutely agree on the wasted space.
