Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Mar 15, 2012 8:52 pm Hi, My partner and I are looking to commence building underneath our property. The height is ample and the grade is relatively flat. Our house is currently on treated timber stumps around the perimeter and was built in the late 80's. At this stage we are looking to only lay the slab + required plumbing but are wondering if there is any real benefit in replacing these stumps with galvanized steel supports. Our concern being that in the future if there are issues with the timber stumps then getting to them will involve going in through the walls. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.
