Re: plaster cieling 2Feb 27, 2012 7:03 am It depends on the condition of the plaster, but a start would be to prop it up and refix it to the bottom plate, get some stud glue in if possible. If it is quite bad i would install a few more trimmers between the bottom chords making sure you have stud glue on the bottom before you re-screw. Use offcuts of something larger like lining boards to give a bit more strength every 300mm or so until the glue sets.
