Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Feb 12, 2012 8:40 pm hi all, we have a two-storey house in Brisbane, getting raised in approx July this year. We are looking to get it built in underneath, and have had plans drawn up. What are the next steps from here? and what order do we need to do things? - Getting the plans certified? - Council Approval (is this the same thing as certified? can we lodge for council approval ourselves or does someone else have to do it?) - Getting a structural engineer to review plans (what else do they do - confirm we have the right number of posts/poles to support upper storey?) Thanks very much! December 2011: plans drawn. June/July 2012: Phase 1 begins: raising and restumping. Concrete slab to replace current slab . Build back deck including roof.
