Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Dec 09, 2011 10:56 am Hi Guys, we've recently built a new house and were thinking of getting few feature walls painted!!! here are a few pics of our living,kitchen and dining Kitchen Splashback Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Dining and Kitchen Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Dining wall (thinking of painting this wall) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Family (thinking of painting this one too) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Here's our thoughts, we were thinking of painting the dining wall with Dulux Arava or Dulux Stonecorp or Dulux Self Destruct and painting the family wall which faces the dining wall with the colour that matches the splashback (Sparkling Shiraz) or same as the dining wall... Much will depend on what furniture is included. well since we've just moved in it's not completely furnished yet....but if it helps.....we're gonna get a lounge suite which is black leather,....and the dining table would probably be http://www.nickscali.com.au/Xavier_Dining_Table.html Although I was actually thinking of contrasting the existing colours in the room which is the splashback (colour of wine, sometimes also looks very purple) and having a black/grey and white colour theme with the furniture and accessories Re: Help with feature walls 5Dec 12, 2011 6:15 pm I've look at the 3 neutral colours and prefer Self Destruct out of them. I would paint all the feature walls the same in the one open space and use the Sparkling Shiraz colour to complement everything with cushions and accessories in this area. A bright orange would look good also with the Sparkling Shiraz as accessories colour.
