Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Nov 03, 2011 6:50 am Hey all, I know archways are something that is covered off a fair bit across the forum but after utilising the search function I couldn't find the answer to my specific question. See the attached picture as it will help with my question. I'm in the process of removing some archways in the house my girlfriend and I just purchased and I'm not sure how to proceed from here.In the picture where the green line is is where the new squared off door way will be. But as you can see (in the red circles) the diagonal studs are below that. What is the correct course of action in this situation. Can they be removed, moved elsewhere to provide support or other? Any help is appreciated Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Michael. Thanks. Yeh ideally that would have been good, but have progressed too far now. Hoping some well placed internal walls fixed up into the battens will provide some… 2 5393 Thank you alexp79 and gommeqld for your advice, that's very helpful, thanks 3 7898 3 10185 |
