Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Nov 25, 2011 9:17 pm hello all. I am considering buying an old fibro house that has been relocated to a block of land. i am writting this post to get ideas and hopefully a good understanding of what i am actually getting myself into. ill start with the details. the block is pretty slopping (id say 15 t0 20 degrees) the house was moved there in 2004 and had council approval (which has now lapsed) to add an extra bedroom with ensuite and a 2 car garage underneath the house. the rear of the house is permenantly fixed to besa block while the front section of the house is elevated 3.4 metres above a slab that is already cut out beneath (not concreted). this elevated section is held up temporarly by chocks and an I beam from the house mover. the entire house needs completely renovating... i would appreciate any comments and ideas to make this a viable investment. cheers.
