Our job ended up being way more involved than he quoted but he stuck to the quote and did a great job and on time. Our place was too low to the ground for a thorough inspection and the job had to be done by taking up the floorboards. When we got to see what was there.... it was a mess (see my 60k thread), resulting in a whole new subfloor. It was a very stressfull couple of weeks but they did it properly and helped me out with keeping costs down while doing it right. Final word of warning... the restumping trade has a lot of bad eggs, go with a known/recomended company and steer well clear of the back yard operators. Our problem initially was that all the floor was covered in carpet, so the minute that was removed we realized that the boards werent worth saving, what was left of them.
