Have started to take skirting off however have noticed in the older section the walls look like lathen plaster or maybe asbestos, this is my question. I have removed the skirting and it looks quite crumbly grey cement powder consistency behind the walls.? has a look of plaster for the first 1 mm or so then goes to a grey. Please help whats your thoughts, have a photo if needed. Please help whats your thoughts, have a photo if needed. I think it is roughing plaster (aka browning) with finish plaster on top... roughing plaster is darker.
