Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Aug 23, 2011 11:17 am Hi, I am planning to have a retractable flyscreen (4.3m width and 2.4m height opening) in the alfresco area. I found some quotes but the prices are varying so much and I couldn't find much difference. Do you guys have any recommendation? Thank you so much for your suggestion in advance. Is doesnt take much for one hand to push out the mesh and then you spend your life with the spline roller putting it back in all the time! Re: Retractable flyscreen in alfresco 3Sep 01, 2011 10:29 am I'm interested to hear the responses you get as we are getting bifolds later this year and I was wondering how I was going to keep the mozzies and flys out. Best I have found is $2800 for a double slide door fly screen that is also double slide 3600mm(w) x 2100mm(h) Still yet to find anyone who can do a screen for the outer edge of the Alfresco for less than $5k One problem has been tracking down a company that can make the sizes we require, as most say they can't do 2 dimensions greater than 1500mm Edit: that should have read 3600mm x 2100mm Re: Retractable flyscreen in alfresco 5Sep 01, 2011 6:19 pm We were going to get these when we moved in, checked out a few places and ended up going all the way out to Sunbury to have a look at this place, we liked them the best. We didnt end up getting them done as it was started to get cold and decided to wait, needed the money for other things. I was supposed to ring them today to get them out for a measure and re-quote and forgot all about it until I read this post, so thanks for the reminder. We have triple stacker doors and we were quoted a rough prices of between $850 - $900 for normal flyscreen, they have the brake stop on them as well. Dont know what the maximum span they will do, but you could ring and ask, and I'm pretty sure they are Aussie made at the factory in Sunbury. They have showroom as well if your up for the drive.
