Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Aug 13, 2011 9:12 am I have a mid/late Victorian house which I'm renovating. With so many choices of ceiling roses, I'm wondering whether the Victorians would have had different ceiling roses in different rooms, or use the same one? Another possibility is using a small rose in small rooms, and for larger rooms using roses with the same pattern but with extended pattern around it - see pattern R011A and compare it with R011 at Heritage Plaster Products: http://heritageplaster.com.au/products/default.asp?rid=RO Re: Ceiling Roses 2Aug 13, 2011 10:23 am Having painted many Heritage homes and for the National Trust, I have found that all house differ in what ceiling roses they use. Some homes will stick with the same rose through the house and some homes will have a different rose for each room. Some roses and cornice are for certain periods, but that is not the question you asked. How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5944 There is water getting into the ceiling, I expected to find some holes in the corrugated roof but there weren't any so I suspect that the roof drip edge is letting water… 0 2452 It sounds like you have a crack in your garage where the wall meets the ceiling, along the shadow line on the… 0 17199 |
