Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Jul 12, 2011 11:40 pm We have been in our rammed earth house for 5 years now and the French Doors (2.4M high with 3.6M ceilings) are warped by about 10mm at the tops. There are 4 sets of these doors, installed with 3 parliament hinges each side, and they open back against the walls. The doors have the door locks very low (~750mm from floor) and no latch at the top of the opening door. I feel that a top latch would help prevent the warpage but would need to be linked to the door lock to allow opening from outside as well as from inside the house. The doors are glazed, painted, timber framed doors. Does anyone have suggestions on how to remove the warp? Thanks, Tony Re: Warped French Doors 2Jul 17, 2011 11:55 pm OK, so this forum is not particularly active. In my searches on this topic, I located suggestions ranging from taking the door off and weighting the most warped point, so that it returns to flat, through to using a metal angle, bolted thru the door, with a spacer to apply pressure to the door to force it straight. I will work something out myself. I hope this helps someone.
