Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Jul 12, 2011 3:04 pm Hi guys, this is my first post and I'd need a bit of advice from those that have mastered the building & reno thing. We are building with a volume builder and our house is almost complete. I now have a heap of smaller projects I need to tackle. Including building a deck, installing water tanks, drip line and timer system, plumbing in a BBQ, paving, installing an outdoor shower, landscaping and interior fitout. And I'm working to a budget so I will be doing most of the labour myself. So I was wondering if anyone can recommend an iphone app that allows me to create a list projects, Save photos and images in relation to each project and create a materials list and budget for each project, add measurements and dimensions for rooms etc then give me a running total of my costs. I need to be on top of everything. Otherwise I will run out of funds. Does anyone have any ideas on an app that may meet my needs? thanks in advance, crazyhamish Re: recommended iphone app for building and renovating 2Jul 12, 2011 6:14 pm Try using an excel spreadsheet it will do everything you need it to do. Definitely can help with budgets, you can take photos and add notes, and by creating different categories I think you could track different projects easily. What it will not do well is help you collect and organise ideas.
