Hi Nina, you're right, I should update this thread. I follow your thread (since you are pretty close by), and while I don't post much, I have to say your place is looking great! Anyway, getting off my lazy butt and actually posting some pictures now! So, front of house first. Final coat of render started today, only visible on far left window (and you have to look very closely to notice the difference in the pic). Rest of front still to be done. It will be painted white though. Wooden floors are in (though not sanded and polished yet). Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Lounge room! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Downstairs now. This is the bedroom that used to be the garage. Sashless window is in (on the left, if you look closely you can see the join in the middle - right is just a big pane of glass): Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Downstairs hallway. Stairs will be installed on the right (getting measured tomorrow). Looking through to downstairs bathroom (tiling today): Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Finally, rumpus area. Doors are covered on outside as they still have to be painted. Tiles are in, just covered to protect them: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So everything is getting close. We are hoping to move back in late next month. Can't wait...it has cost more money, taken longer, and been more stressful than I ever would have anticipated. We could have built a new house in less time! Re: Rob's big renovation 45May 23, 2012 10:10 pm Wow and I thought my hall ceiling was high. Looks awesome. Can't wait to see the finished photos. Thanks - yeah the light is excellent. Unfortunately we went over the top on windows. So much that we can't put a wardrobe on a side wall in one of the bedrooms (not enough wall space for the end of the wardrobe: the entire wall is pretty much a window). So we had to put the wardrobe on the back wall. Live and learn...just didn't consider it when the place was designed. Re: Rob's big renovation 51May 27, 2012 10:38 pm Looks fantastic, can't wait to see more! =) The outlook to the back with all the lush greenery is just to die for. I don't post on homeone much any longer, and was a bit shocked to see this old thread bumped. Unfortunately I never really went around and photographed the complete place, however here are a few I have on hand: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The carport/retaining walls/front garden were done afterwards.
