Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Apr 04, 2011 1:25 pm Hi guys, Do you guys know where i could get cheap indoor and outdoor paints? I got 2 BIG IP that i want to paint and Bunnings would only offer a 10% discount...which to me isn't a good deal. Any advice/recommendation ( feel free to recommend your own business) would be appreciated Regards Michael Michael Chan | Australia wide Mortgage Broker Michael@ShapeHomeLoans.com.au | 1300 74 5626 | Fax: 02 8212 8909 http://www.ShapeHomeLoans.com.au Re: Buying Paints? Sydney 5Apr 10, 2011 6:47 pm Go to any of the big paint shops (like Merilux) and have a look through the 'mismatched' tins of paints for sale. You can get 4 litre, 10 litre and bigger tins at a discounted price. There'll be some crap colours but also some colours that are fine, just not quite the colour a customer required. Re: Buying Paints? Sydney 7Apr 11, 2011 7:39 pm I dont know why Dulux is always the first choice??? Trade price @ Dulux will be more than trade price @ Bunnings there are plenty of independent paint shops with lots of brands. So the staff (sometimes) can you give a more unbias opinion I feel Dulux has great marketing, but there are better performing paints out there if you care to look I went outside once. Sydney 9Apr 11, 2011 7:59 pm I like Dulux paints, never use anything else but. Unfortunately, they don’t offer a great trade discount like other paint companies do. Which is why painters use other companies……except MY painter, he has finally come on board and is a Dulux only man. Be careful with paint, its true, you get what you pay for with paint. Sydney 10Apr 16, 2011 1:05 pm hey have you heard of freecycle? its i think through yahoo. You sign up and people around sydney give away extra things they dont need...sometimes spare tiles and home stuff, great if you have IPs becuase you can always use something to spruce it up. I have seen a few times on my email people offereing paint, or you can post a wanted ad and someone might remeber that they have paint they dont need. we usually get our painter(husbands cousin) to give us a discount by using his company name at dulux trade, do yuo have any family or friends that you can use thier business name for a trade prices?
