I'm still not convinced the design is all that it could be. That's not to say there is anything wrong but it certainly wouldn't work for me/our life style. It's hard to comment without understanding how you live but here is why I would struggle to live in it... The design still seems pokey with lots of separate and small rooms. I can't quite figure out which room it will be that you spend most of your time (as a family)? Both the lounge and kitchen areas are too small and that only leaves the rumpus room which is most likely the hottest (upstairs) and darkest with only the small head high windows. It would also create a mix of living zones among the upstairs and downstairs levels. I can't imagine not having a large open plan room at the back to take advantage of the illusion of space the back yard offers as well as providing a large room and outdoor space to entertain guests. It would also give somewhere for the kids to play in (my wife is able to cook whilst the little fella plays with his toys on his mat - all under her watchful eye) if this is a consideration. Most importantly it would really open up the place.
