It's an old home built in 77, supporting metal roof sheets above, so not a lot of weight. I am just wondering if anyone can spot limitations here, are we stuck with our low ceilings? A vaulted ceiling is possible but you need a good carpenter to look at redistributing the loads, the ridge beam and the underpurlins need support. what's the rationale on this?
