It's a 70s/80s brick veneer on cement stumps with a flat metal roof. Haven’t lived in a house before with a flat roof so don’t know if there are any real issues with it except that I don’t think it looks that great. Can I replace it with a pitched roof, either tiled or colorbond? If so, can the ceiling height also be raised, especially in the living areas? Also plan to extend a couple of rooms and render the house so need to take this into account on when the roof can be replaced. Presume the extension needs to happen first before the roof replacement followed by rendering. What are the typical costs for roof conversions and rendering a 4 bedroom house with 2 living areas?
