At the moment the kitchen sink is directly connected to one vertical soil stack, and it´s the only fixture connected to that stack, with a DN50 pipe. Due to layout constraints I´d like to connect the basin from the nearby bathroom into this same stack. I´d like to avoid having to drill a new connection into the stack, as that´d need more permissions from the body corp. Looking at AS3500.2, clause 13.18.1, I can see that a kitchen sink could also be connected to a disconnector gully. Does this mean I could request the installation of a disconnector gully connected to the existing DN50 discharge into the stack, and then connect both the sink and basin to the gully? Thanks.
