We want to smooth it out and paint it white without losing all of the skirting and finishing around it. Ideally we'd remove the tiles but we've been told that is not really possible. We've also been suggested to concrete it then it'll be smooth and paintable. What's the best way to do this? If you go over the top, your tiles would not have an even surface to be glued to.
