Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Oct 01, 2023 2:43 pm Hi All New here and need your advice please. We are doing renos in a few months and we just got our quote from the builder which is a 100k over our budget. Hubby wants me to give up the plans for the new hallway as this is the reason the cost is up as it means redoing a lot of the roof to facilitate the hallway. At the moment there is no hallway. I'm keen for advice on hallway alternatives - I always wanted one as I thought it makes it a home? When you open the existing front door as marked in image you walk straight into living area. The garage will be knocked and sitting room extended.
