I have a home gym at home. It weights 150KG including the weight stack. I'm a big boy, around 150KG myself.
I was thinking about moving it up stairs to the second floor, but am worried about the weight on the floor?
Flooring is Quickstep Laminate flooring installed over what I think is yellowtongue boards, joists are LM floor joists. House was built 1999.
The seat is located close to the weight stack so we are talking about 300KG in what would be equivalent to a 1m square.
I know the room is probably capable of over 1.8T based on the size of it about 12sqm, but obviously the load is not spread out across the 12sqm... only 1-2sqm
Do you have any thoughts or opinions on this?
Any ideas on how I could help distribute the load?
