Painter help needed Zinsser Bin smell issue

Hi guys,

Painters or anyone who has experience applying Zinsser Bin (shellac based) help and advice is appreciated
I have used two thick coats of Zinsser bin to block the nicotine tar and smell sipping through the walls, which has worked perfectly well
However, I have now an issue where the walls have an odd smell
I used a shipskin rollers cover which after each use I soaked in water and also cleaned with methylated spirit. The room/walls seem now to have a smell of wet shipskin roller cover
I however painted next room ceiling with the new Dulux professional roller cover and the ceiling has the same smell once dried up
I’m wondering if Zinsser Bin has a strange odour once dried up and if it will go away over time and the worst case of it doesn’t go away will applying the pain over primed walls help to eliminate the strange odour ?!
