Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement Re: Rendering and expansion joint 5Sep 08, 2022 11:24 pm Noname Jamesmao Thanks, so expansion joints to be left like that?.. looks really bad ๐ yes, and it looks normal. Usually when the house is built, if they render, they match the sealant colour in the join as close as possible to the render colour, but they are always visible. In your case, If the colour is matching the brick under the render and not the render you can remove the old sealant and reseal with something closer matching the render, but this i a pain to do and you are likley to still not be happy. Take a walk around any new suburb where there is heaps of rendered houses and you will see its quote normal. You'll forget its there soon. Thanks heaps. I will follow that. Hi, I am planning to select San Selmo reclaimed original for the fascade of my build. I have seen many photos on line of the brick varying from a rustic to a neat finish.… 0 4689 Hi guys, I want to butt a concrete vegetable garden bed against a concrete build up of a carport.
