Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Mar 17, 2022 6:59 pm Hi all, Looking for some advice for a double garage conversion into a small flat with bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and living area. It's only a small add to our house under the same roof line etc. We have build ready plans ready to go. What is the acceptable slope for the concrete slab? It currently slopes from back to front by 40mm over a lenght of 5.7 mtrs. Its not noticable when standing in the room and would not be noticable once completed. The bathroom area will be leveled with self leveling compound. The private certifer has come back and said the flloor must be level. If it is needed to be leveled, how would you do it? A challange by adding a sub floor with bearers and yellow tongue flooring is keeping the min internal height of 2400mm. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. It's nearly impossible to get a builder at the moment in SE QLD due to the floods etc, so may be looking a doing an owner builder permit and engaging trades independently. isn't a garage level with the rest of the house a given? pretty sure they 'came around' long time ago. if you have a flat block, the garage is usually level with the rest… 1 17551 A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor.
