Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Jan 20, 2022 11:13 pm Hi guys, I have an investment property and driveway is not concrete. The area size is approximately 30 sqm. If I go with 120 per sq concreting cost, I think it will come around 30*120 per sq= 3600$ + bin + steel + road base etc.. that can lead to 6000$ or above. Since it is an investment property, I am looking for any alternative here. Please check the attached photo and suggest. The concrete material cost is <25m2 for a 100mm slab at some point punters are going to say.. " I'm not going to pay any more ...? and the price drops " Unfortunately there will be some short term pain for billionaire east coast builders (humour) ... so be it.... my2c I suggest you get a quote on pavers $30-$40 per m2 Cheers Chris Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Concrete substitute for driveway 3Jan 21, 2022 11:18 pm StructuralBIMGuy They forgot to add the pump $750, Road management, etc (Humour) Doesn't it occur to you that concrete @ $120 m2 + extras is a ripoff ≠ $200m2 ( $6000/30) ? The only problem with pavers is its moving capabilities and if one paver moves then the rest will follow.
