I currently have a single storey ground floor house with a ducted reverse cycle system and an outside wall unit. I have plans in to add an upstairs addition. The builder said that I am responsible for removing all the ductwork before they lay the upper floor, but he didn't specify as to what happens after that?
He mentioned about 'filling in' the square ceiling vent holes, and that was it.
Does this mean that the whole unit is now scrap, and I need to install a new system(s) at extra cost? Is there no way to re-install or re-use the existing system, as it is in good condition?
I am planning on getting 2 Reverse Cycle Wall Splits for the upstairs once it is built, but WHAT is the solution for the ground floor? Any advice appreciated, thanks.
