Just scrape off any loose or flakey white set and then get it re plastered. You can skim it with top coat if you know what you are doing and then sand it back so it's nice and smooth. Paint with a dealer and you are good to paint it all. In Perth most construction is plastered brick so we do it all the time. All the best. Heya thanks Chippy ! Do I scrape off the whole wall if it keeps on coming off? I ask only because it feels like 'peeling skin around your nails' - you think you should stop, cut & clean but you keep pulling until it bleeds I feel like the whole wall might come off / whole house may get stripped.
