Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Mar 22, 2021 9:47 am Hi I want to change the colours on this house. Would like to go for Shale grey on the upper walls, some kind of white on the bottom render and then white for windows fames, stair palings etc, probably a dark grey for the handrails, stair treads, windown sills and decks. Posts just white or dark grey? I'm not sure painting the guttering is an option so will the red look ridiculous? Stair treads and decks are currently the red too. The roof is just silver/uncoloured colourbond. It's a house I'll be selling so don't want to make it too complicated. Looks fine as it is, so if you are just reselling, save yourself the expense and let the new owners choose their own colours. Thanks, I haven't had a close look for a few years so it might need redoing. If it does need redoing I thought I'd try and make the colours more neutral to appeal to more buyers. I guess there is always the risk that if you choose modern neutral colours you'll put off buyers who might have wanted to paint it in a heritage style, but now don’t want to go to that expense since it has just been freshly painted.
