Hi, my name is Leigh and inspired by Scott and Kylie's thread...thought I'd post our journey. This is our second renovation, first was a 1940's timber weatherboard home and this one is a 1969 two storey brick home that has quite the 70s influence. Here she is in all her original glory.

But check out all those breeze blocks....and they are a *&#$% to paint let me tell you. The prep work has been full on. The house was a rental for five years before we purchased it in December 2016 - and there was this vine thing that was let grow all over the house and it just destroyed the paintwork and left these little bits of stuff everywhere...I'll take a photo of it to put up at some point. We ended up resorting to wire wheels to remove the flaky paint and the leftover dried up crusty bits of root thingy...
So far we have completed one bathroom (there's three all up), the kitchen, living, dining and laundry areas downstairs and started work on the outside.
I'll come back to post more later!
