Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Mar 15, 2014 3:04 pm Hi, We will be putting our house on the market this year but need to do a few things in order to get it ready. We have hideous wall tiles in our bathroom (I don't know what the previous owners were thinking The floor tiles are a beige which is fine but the walls are light grey with coloured fish on them, they're horrid. Being that we're just getting the house ready to sell I thought the cheaper option was to paint over them instead of replacing them. The ensuite isn't that big, can't swing a cat in it as they say, just the walls and into the shower area. For anyone that's used tile paint how effective is it, is it easy to use, is it messy, happy with the results etc? Thanks and any advice would be great. You must check for qualitative paint before applying. Re: Anyone used Tile Paint??? 5Jul 31, 2014 10:59 pm Probably a bit late to comment. But. I've used it. White Knight tile paint. It's excellent, thoroughly recommend it. I did my kitchen wall tiles 10 years ago and the laundry about a year ago. Painted over daggy 1970s dark olive green with white. Came up fantastic. No scratches yet after 10 years and still looks fresh. Excellent solution! I also painted my laminated kitchen cupboards 10 years ago. I used Penetrol (in hardware paint section) to give the laminate a 'key' (make stick). If you have good cupboards that you can no longer stand the colour of, it's a great way to update them for low cost.
