Browse Forums Safer Living 1 Jul 31, 2019 9:46 am Hi All, Firstly, I am aware that wireless cameras are not that reliable in terms of lag as compared to wired ones. Still, would love to have the flexibility of the wireless ones. Has anyone installed wireless ones? Is there one where battery goes more almost 6 months or so ? if yes, how do you manage changing batteries high up? Also, if wired is the best option, which brands (and possibly specific models) have people installed? I have heard if Dahua & Hikvision. Is there any local store in Sydney that I can buy these ? Thanks in advance, Mandar Re: Home Security cameras - 2 Storey 2Aug 05, 2019 11:16 pm Its not ideal to have cameras mounted up too high, maybe just our of arms reach is good. So if you go with the wireless option you should be able to replace batteries with a small step ladder. I would recommend going with a wired setup. I recommend the Turret style over Dome & Bullet style, Milesight, Hikvision & Dahua are all good. https://www.securitywholesalers.com.au/ https://www.elitewholesalers.com.au/ Re: Home Security cameras - 2 Storey 3Aug 06, 2019 2:33 pm Sethor Its not ideal to have cameras mounted up too high, maybe just our of arms reach is good.
