We are in the process of getting smart wiring organised for our new build and were quoted about $350 per point to prewire CCTV system.
My understanding is that it will be easier done while we are building then afterwards.
Can we just buy an alarm system later on and plug it in prewired cabling?
Does $350 per camera sounds ok and will it be any cheaper to do it afterwards.
Also we are thinking about the same prewiring for intercom.
Is it worth it or you are better off with some wireless intercom later down the track?
The other question is do you really need intercom if you have CCTV camera and can see who is at the front of your house anyway?
Do security sensors on the windows make any difference? I know that all doors have security sensors but windows are extra (at about $120 per window).
Is it worth the cost and will they react if the window glass is broken?
