I didn't want to be locked into ongoing costs. I looked at various ebay sellers but had concerns about quality, returns and upgrading. I went with Swann, as I could get camera's with good quality specs and I had more confidence in the company (Swann are based in Australia, and sell through retailers like Officeworks, DSmith etc). I found the Swann online factory store - so got a very good package for a great price (bonus!). FYI their pro systems also have sms alerts, and internet monitoring. I installed the system myself (with a hand from a mate). The kit came with good instructions, and it was easy to set-up. The hardest thing was planning layout. I've had my system for over a year - and recommend it. I've been able to upgrade/change cameras, tweak settings, and boost the hard disk. The customer service has been very very good. Once you know the basics, the rest is easy. Read my post in the thread linked below. viewtopic.php?p=1919271#p1919271 2 19497 It's all about wireless, self install now.
