Look-c and futuro are the best looking and functional stand alone units. we install the look-c intercoms on every home we do, and never have any complaints about how they look or peform The look-c intercoms have many different types.. There are a few models which record an image of everyone who presses the doorbell button, has an inbuilt calender, can view cctv cameras on the unit, and it will cycle through images like a lcd picture frame.. There is even a model that can record cctv footage with its inbuilt dvr.. You may find it hard to buy as they only sell to tradespeople. I am using one of their two-wire systems because it was one of the few I found that could handle the 125m between my house and the gate. Aiphone was an option, but was much more expensive.
