Can anyone recommend some good companies to contact, PM me if you like. Our 1st floor slab is due to be poured around easter so I am running out of time! Cheers Re: Security system: wireless or wired? 22Apr 05, 2011 2:00 pm Hi I'm afraid that I can't recommend an installer in Perth, but I am surprised that you are having difficulty finding an installer to put in a hybrid system - it is fairly standard technology. I know that Ness have wired/wireless systems, so maybe you could give them a call and ask them to recommend an installer in your area? http://www.ness.com.au/ContactUs.asp Paul Re: Security system: wireless or wired? 23Apr 07, 2011 6:24 pm Dilbert, protection1 does Bosch hybrid. I'm getting quote from them and others. Re: Security system: wireless or wired? 24Apr 11, 2011 2:36 pm G'day Duke, I have a quote from Protection1 but they told me they wont hardwire 2 storey houses. They would only offer wireless unfortunately. Re: Security system: wireless or wired? 25Apr 11, 2011 3:57 pm ahh.. yeah they offered hardwired for the PIR and reed but wireless for the windows. This is for a single story. Re: Security system: wireless or wired? 26Jun 28, 2011 7:08 pm If i was you, i would get the wires run and keep them behind/in the walls in-case you change your mind. i only install wired systems but i have heard a lot of good and bad from wireless systems. if it was my house and i was to "test" a wireless systems ability id have the wires already done for the wired system in-case change of mind, which would be the cheapest way as every house is different. but in the long run nothing will compare hard wired power supply to a battery. and i am pretty sure there is technology out there that can block/jam the wireless alarms from going off. Re: Security system: wireless or wired? 27Sep 20, 2011 3:47 pm I would suggest trying Diamond Lock and Key http://www.diamondlockandkey.com.au/acc ... m-systems/ 62625141 They do wireless and hard wired alarms to the best of my knowlege. Hope they can help. Re: Security system: wireless or wired? 29Jul 09, 2013 7:48 pm Would it be very hard to get wireless Bosch system installed in double storey home once built? Can you ask builder to run cables and get alarm installed later on? Re: Security system: wireless or wired? 31Jul 09, 2013 8:59 pm mirz Would it be very hard to get wireless Bosch system installed in double storey home once built? Can you ask builder to run cables and get alarm installed later on? I wouldn't do wireless. If possible get the builder to install it even though it's more expensive. My builder supplies the Hills system but I requested for the Bosch Solution Plus instead. Re: Security system: wireless or wired? 32Jul 10, 2013 5:37 am Thanks ill check with builder during electrical appointment. I just want to make sure that it should be alarmed downstairs when all would be in beds upstairs. and wireless remotes are always handy, which I don't think comes with hills alarm system. You can add a remote control module to the hills alarm if you want. I went for the Bosch Solution 16Plus because it has more features and better user interface. It's all about wireless, self install now. The cost/benefit of wired setups for the house are no longer what they used to be. Lots of wireless options. Eufy, Arlo and… 2 9793 Update from me! Couldn't find the trimmer - not sure if there isn't one simply because the eave is so narrow. Went ahead with the spring toggles and it all worked out… 7 5869 It seems very clear to me that your contract states that a security account does NOT need to be established so the answer to the builder is NO. If in doubt find a contract… 1 8510 |
