Remotes get lost I have to get them out of my pocket. The finger is unique and it's easy to use, even for kids. Combined with an automated multi-point lock it's a very safe options. Plus you could operate other things from the same scanner - e.g. garage door or alarm system. Rgs Kris Someone could steal your finger if they really wanted to but that's not really a pleasant thought!! Remember the retina scanner in Demolition Man and how that was circumvented? Re: Keyless Entry 23May 27, 2009 9:47 am Dear Purpleninja, the system we prefer is only working when your finger is actually on your hand (body temperature required). If you should get forced to use it, you just have a second finger that will activate a silent alarm and than you can open the door with the right finger. By the time the people that forced you to open you place it's very likely that the security force is already there if you are with the right provider. And as we are not living in the world of Demolation Man you must really have a bad day when someone should cut your finger off - Takes a bit more than the average burglar. If you are on that level of thret you should probably consider a body guard anyways. They won't go for the front door or even any door, they will just smash the window or even a wall (I've heard of the case where a home owner did everything to prevent his house from getting broken into to one day come home to a hole in one of his walls) :S Re: Keyless Entry 25May 27, 2009 1:39 pm Miglas Windows Dear Purpleninja, the system we prefer is only working when your finger is actually on your hand (body temperature required). Rgs Kris I was speaking with tongue in cheek Kris - just pointing out that it is possible if the thug is not squeamish. That said there are far easier/quicker ways into the house than the front door as gettingThere said. Black on light wood does look good.
