Browse Forums Safer Living 1 May 17, 2009 8:12 am Hi All! Our old fuse box needs upgrading. At the moment it is 24 pole and is being upgraded to 30 pole (I think that's the lingo). Additionally it is being upgraded from fuses to safety switches. Unfortunately the board is too small (due to the meters in the way). Therefore we need a new board. The options was to grind out more bricks for a bigger board or move it indoors. We decided we would prefer to move it indoors. Are there any issues in having the fuse box indoors? I used to have fuse boxes in doors in the apartments I lived at and they are much more convenient than having to wander out in the dead of the night. Also where indoors should we have it located? I was thinking outside the master bedroom in an existing built-in cupboard in the corridor. The electrician recommended the kitchen. Finally how much do you think we are looking at in total? Thank you so much! Re: Moving fuse box indoors - Advice needed PLEASE! 2May 31, 2009 7:44 am IMO - much cheaper to cut the bricks...
