The glazing bead is the piece of material (PVC, timber or aluminium) which goes next to the glass on the side the glass is fitted. On standard windows it actually keeps the glass in place - our window uses silicon to bond the glass to the frame so the bead is only aesthetic, and to give access to fit the glass. It's on the left side of the circle.
