We're about to renovate the interior of our house (all new plaster walls and ceilings, vinyl timber look flooring in living areas [this one http://www.harveynorman.com.au/allure-l ... oring.html], carpet in BRs, new BIRs, and fresh paint throughout) and will be putting it on the market later in the year when we build a new house.
Obviously when we sell we want to get the best price possible, so I'm wondering what tips you have RE painting to add value to the house? I'm going to stay away from bright colors, (at this point I'm leaning towards 1/2 strength Dulux "Buff It" on the walls and a white on the ceilings/trim).
Am I best off having the exact same colors through the whole house (inc bathroom and kitchen) or should I mix it up a little in those areas? Are feature walls a good thing or bad thing when selling? What things wont I think of because I'm a total newbie when it comes to renovating and selling? :p
