At times I feel like I am wasting 4.5K on the windows. I guess, I need a little reassurance that it's okay to do this! Does this add any value to the place at all? [I wouldn't be selling anytime soon] Re: Should I second Glaze the windows? 2Dec 02, 2009 9:29 am I would wait till you moved in to see just how bad it is. The secondary glazing looks quite bulky as it is just a window behind a window...and does seem quite expensive. Without knowing what type of windows they are, could you get them double glazed? This could help keep the heat down in summer and the warmth in in winter, especially if the windows are facing west. Re: Should I second Glaze the windows? 4Feb 24, 2010 7:44 am I've got double-glazed windows and so far so good they cut out a lot of noise, and this morning it was 11 degrees outside and inside the inner pane of glass was no where near as cold as what it was outside! Great for getting a better Energy Star rated house. $5k for how many windows? It cost me more than that to option up my house with double-glaze.
